Nach dem Studium der Psychologie in Erfurt, Exeter und Frankfurt a.M. habe ich 2010 mit einer Arbeit über neuronale und psychophysiologische Korrelate der Emotionsverarbeitung bei Gesunden und Patienten mit Amygdala-Läsion an der Universität Erfurt promoviert. Die Promotionsarbeit entstand im Rahmen des EU-Projekts „PERCEPT – Perceptual Consciousness: Explication and Testing“, das zum Ziel hatte die subjektive Interpretation visuellen Materials einer Person darzustellen. Seit 2007 arbeite ich als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in der Abteilung Medizinische Psychologie in Bonn. Neben der wissenschaftlichen Forschung zum Thema Emotionsverarbeitung organisiere ich die Lehre der Medizinischen Psychologie für Medizinstudenten. Zudem arbeite ich als Neuropsychologin in der Gedächtnisambulanz des Klinischen Behandlungs- und Forschungszentrums (KBFZ).
