Die Abteilung Medizinische Psychologie wurde vom 01.04.2006-31.12.2009
geleitet von Prof. Dr. Dr. Walter, der zugleich Leitender Oberarzt und
Stellvertretender Ärztlicher Direktor an der Klinik für Psychiatrie und
Psychotherapie (Ärztlicher Direktor: Prof. Wolfgang Maier) war. Zum 01.01.2010 wechselte er an die Charite in Berlin und leitet dort nunmehr
den Forschungsbereich Mind and Brain an der Klinik für Psychiatrie und
Psychotherapie. Gleichzeitig leitet er noch eine Forschungsgruppe
innerhalb der Abteilung Medizinische Psychologie.
Stellv. Direktor und
Verantwortlicher für die
Lehre ist nunmehr Oberarzt PD Dr. med. Henrik
Kessler.
Die Abteilung ist zuständig für die Lehre „Medizinische Psychologie und
Soziologie“ im Studiengang Humanmedizin. Forschungschwerpunkte sind die
soziale, kognitive und affektive Neurowissenschaft unter Verwendung der
funktionellen Magnetresonanztomographie. Klinische Schwerpunkte sind die
affektiven und schizophrenen Psychosen, Grundlagen von
Abhängigkeitserkrankugnen und die Neuropsychotherapie.
